Is there anything special I should do while cleaning out a SW tank and making it into a FW tank? Should I change out any sump plumbing? How worried should I be about transferring bacteria/parasites from that tank to my fish when that tank is cycled for my fish?
I just got lucky and got a 90 gallon SW tank for free from Craigslist as the owner wants to focus on his larger tanks.
The tank is being drained at the moment and the owner states there is red algae on the glass that will need to be razored off. Is a razor the best and most efficient way to remove the red algae? Absolutely any input would be appreciated.
