Let's say I was buying a larger tank or changing a tank in general. So I start with my established tank and get a new/different tank set up, clean in out and scoop my sand and the transfer most of the water and get the filter on the new tank (filter is from established tank) before transfering the fish. In my mind it would still be and established aqaurium water wise. My question is does this stress the fish out? Should there be any additives that would help the fish? Stress Coat etc...? Already peat in the filtration set-up. Thanks.

it would stress the fish in all, but would be happy in a big tank.

Yeah anything like that will stress out a fish, any sort of moving, you know, it's not the typical thing they're used to. However, they'll get over it in a day or two and they'll be fine. Plus they'll be happy to be in a bigger tank!

i had both my pirhana in a 20 gallon with a divider when i moved them they were bangin into the glass really hard but after like 2 or three hours in there new 60 gallon tanks they were totally settled in and even ate that night. theyll love the 75 and as for your old filter thats perfect !its how i always get my new tanks ready i just let the new filter run in the same tank with the old one in like a month your new filter is totally cycled. and just a little suggestion it seems like my black rhom loves his or her powerhead(aquaclear 70) i would add one

When I went to a bigger tank I used "all" the water , Gravel , Filters exc...
then added fresh water on top of that Its Like A New Tank And A Water Change At The Same Time .
The Piranha will get over it quick . You may notes A little aggression in the new
tank till the get back in pecking order .
