Thinking of changing up my 135gal Sa/CA Cichlid configuration. Currently housing the following..

9in Midas (female)
7in Mayan
6in Jack Dempsey
7in Texas Cichlid

I plan on taking out the JD and Texas and placing new fish in. The reason for the JD removal is because its not coloring up the way I'd like, Its too skittish and not eating as much as it should be, really finniky when it comes to food. Will only eat massivore pellets.

The texas although colorful is just a goofy looking fish reminds me of a flounder.

There is not much aggression in the tank at this point everyone seems to get a long for the most part. I'm strongly considering a decent sized Green Terror and possibly a Salvini if I can find one around town that has decent size. Any other tankmates you can suggest.

Thanks in advance!

a GT and salvini would be ok if you remove the JD and carpinte.

If your thinking Salvini, also consider P. freidrichsthalii (freddy). Way cooler imo. Or another alternative would be a Loisellei.

Whats are your thoughts on adding a Blackbelt to the Mix. I saw this one today at the LFS. Its about 5-6inches and was pretty aggressive towards me. Ugly as sin now but I assume once they get older and mature the colors look better.

(sorry for crappy cell phone pic)
