Hey everyone, I have decided that I want to get rid of my old red fling gravel substrate in my 90 gallon tank. I know that I want to change my tank into a mediumly (if that is even a word) planted tank. Its gonna be a community tank with discus, cory's, smaller fish etc... I cannot decide wether or not I would like a dark substrate such as that eco-complete stuff, or a nice, bright, white sand. I think the eco complete would look cool but I am worried it would make my fish darken up a lot. Last of all, I want to add another filter to the tank. Currently it is just running an eheim 2217 classic, but if I got a new one what would you guys go with? Remember, I wouldn't want something what would move water to fast. If anyone has pictures of thier tanks PLEASE do post them.

Thanks,
Tyler

if you're serious about keeping the plants, discard the wet/dry and add another eheim to the cleaning arsenal.

plantedtank.net has a bunch of good info and forums as well. they're a hardcore bunch over there.
