Petco has some plastic tubes that connect to the faucet, so I'm assuming people add water back to their tank by using unconditioned tap water? Would doing small water changes with unconditioned tap water kill off all the bacteria? o.O

I don't wana carry buckets back and forth every week :WHOA:

It is fine unless you have inverts in the tank.

I use one of those, otherwise i have to use a siphon, which is started by my mouth... :(

Thats what i do if its less then 10% on freshwater tanks its non lethal to just top off. In fact i think it helps to keep the bacterial levels low.

That plastic hose is just a hose theres no magic i have a "python" but usally use the garden hose.

you could make you a hose attachment for the faucet for $20 or less if all you're wanting to do is fill. otherwise get that for removal and filling. dose the tank with prime before and you're good..
