Jus got 4 punctata. Need info of my channa. What is the kind of maintenance required, feeding, size etc. Cause i'm new to channa.....:)

Standard snakehead setup , big tank temps 72-82˚F; pH 6-7.5, that species gets about 12", and they are jumpers so make sure you have a good cover however they need to have access to the air for breathing so leave air space in the top of the tank, and low light (unless you get a blanket of floating plants like I do) you'll need heavy filtration, I don’t like HOB filters with snakeheads because I use duck weed as a floating cover lots of hiding spots, and it gets mixed up in into the filter, so I like big canister filters or sump...

they are a predatory fish, meaty foods, (feeder fish shrimp, ect) and that of course messes up the tank especially as they get bigger, I haven’t kept this species but i'd assume it grows rapidly s many snakehead species do...

That’s the basic’s

Next time you really research BEFORE buying the fish, hope you have a BIG tank!

pics please :popcorn::popcorn:

interesting fish, i like the idea of it swimming around with a mouth full of veg hanging out!

U should not mix snakeheads with other species. Sub-tropical, needs lower temp a couple of months a year.

Not absolutely true as it has been done with success.
but care must be taken with the temperature.
