Channa Auranti All Grown Up!

haven't taken any pics of him for a while but now he's about 15" and possibly approaching full size (he was about 4 1/2" start of September when I got him!!!) thought i'd share a few pics. He's not as active now as i've lowered the temperature as they like to almost hibernate through winter but he still gets up about 3 times a week and dances when he's hungry. Has anyone else had one through winter? I'd heard they dig a hole and i'd hardly see him til spring but think mine just likes eating too much to hibernate!

Nice channa. Just wondering is it beneficial for him to hibernate? I mean, even if they do in the wild, you don't necessarily have to do it in tank also. Is it to establish a breeding cycle or...?
