Hi,

I am new to snakehead.
I just got 2 channa Auranti and I plan to mix them with 5 frontosa. I heard from the shop owner that the 2 channa have been frighting before - one got scratch on head and another got broken tail.
So I am thinking to mix them with other fish so that they don't meet and
fright so offen. I am not sure if this is stupid thinking. Will they attach my frontosa? The setup is in 6 * 2.5 * 2.5 tanks. I will put lots of hiding place for them. Do you think is ok?
Thanks.

cheers,
Loh

they probably will attack the frontosas and in all likelihood kill them. its also irresponsible because frontosas are tropical fish and aurantis are subtropical. Both fish have different requirements and you shouldn't be putting them together in 1 tank

Hi Tokyogasmask,

Thanks for reply.
Why you say is irresponsible? Could you explan a bit.
Thanks.

No need, Chronick just took the words straight from my mouth.

In every case one species would get the wrong temperature :(
