Hi I have an opertunity to buy a pair of channa aurantimaculata. i was wondering would a 4ft tank be to small for them and also if it is ok size tank would they still recoginse each other as this is a whole new enviroment for them?

I'd go for a bigger tank for a pair of auranti mate.
And the problem of moving a pair from one owner to the next is tricky.

Can basically go either way,the pair could move and stay bonded or they could move and get medieval with each other.

I know it's a bummer but it's best in my experience to start with a group and let the fish do the rest.

This is just my opinion from my little experience

Yes that will be ok to house a pair of channa pulchra.
My pair life and breed in a 4ft tank.

lots of hiding places and some floating cover.

Can you post your Fry from the Pulchar as i live in Surrey? when ever the spawn next?
