Channa bleheri attack another

I have 2 * channa bleheri in 25 gal tank.
Male attacks female sometimes.
(Male(16cm) has lived in the tank and female(11cm) came 4 days ago.)
I don't know why he attacks her.

This is a common occurence when a new channa is introduced to an established tank. They will probablly settle down, just give them plenty of floating plants and hiding places.

coudl also be that the male wants to bred and the female dont want to yet. agreed givew many more hideing spots for them.

female's dosal fin and tail fin were torn.
Is she okay?

Hi,yes it happens,they need a lot of cover,also it might be a breeding sign!

They might need time.
