I dont know who did it. I have 5 3in bleheri and 1 3in redline in a 55 (till i divide my 150) One of my bleheris tail has a chunk out of it. I am not sure who is the attackee as i watched for a good half hour and found nothing. All the other ones are fine, no wounds or anything. How should i treat it. Ps he is swimming etc fine. Thanks

i wouldn't be suprised if it's the redline, because the bleheri will fight amongst themselves by don't rip off fins that often.

I have had quite a few snakeheads, and have just recently sorted out my friends bleheri it was so badly damaged it could just about swim to the surface to get air. I put it in a quarantine tank with some Methylene Blue (I know this is out of the ark but my father and I have used it for years on open wounds on fish and it has never let me down) the fish made a full recovery in 3 weeks and is back from the dead. But just remember Methylene Blue will interfere with the normal biological processes of nitrifying filter bacteria. Methylene Blue can also interfere with normal plant growth. But it works well on snakheads have used it loads of times and it realy cleans them up.Add 1 teaspoon of 2.303% Methylene Blue per 10 gallons of water. If its the fins you should be ok if boddy bo the Methylene Blue :thumbsup:When you say red line you are talking about a red snakhead micropeltes if it is thats your man soon to be a killer

a 9 inch gachua would probably eat a 3 inch red, so not yet no. Though in a couple of months it will probably be 7 or 8 inches.

I dont think it is a bite. It has gotte worse over the past 6 hours. I think it is fin rot. He has alot of fungis on his body now. What should i do? Keep in mind i have 4 others that need to stay healthy.
