hi
my pair of channa gachua's bred a while ago and now ive got loads of fry ready for sale, they are £4 each and i am able to post inside the uk for about £10 for upto about 6 fry.
i bought the parents from wildwoods they were the only two caught in a risky part of india.this is the info that came with them,
Channa gachua 'Barpeta' : only last month I received this couple with a shipment of Crossocheilus latius collected from the Pohumara River flowing down from the Bhutan Hills. I had never received any Channa from that area nor have I fished there as the remote areas are insurgency prone. These are the first live channa to come out of that area for the aquarium trade. There could be other forms as the area is largely unexplored for fish and when the situation gets better hope to go survey that entire zone. Barpeta is the main sub-divisional town in the Barpeta District of Assam and is the gateway to the famous Manas National Park which shares it's boundaries in both India and Bhutan. The very rare and endemic Golden Langur is found only in that forest and nearabouts. Also known for it's good Tiger population.
if anyone is intrested in some of these contact me via email (channa007@live.co.uk) or pm me.
regards
rob
