Channa Gachua

Hi,

I just bought a SH a couple of days ago, I was told it was a rainbow snakehead but when I looked at some pics on a fish guide it looked more like a channa gachua or dwarf snakehead.

Does anyone here own a gachua and can share some pics as well as how best to care for them? I'll try and get some pics up soon and if anyone can help me identify it, that'll be great!

Channa bleheri has orange spots on tail fin.

Thanks guys! I'll try and get my camera working and get some pics of it. If it would come out of its hiding spot that is. It looks more like the 2nd pic, but with red tinge on its fins. Hope to get some pics.

Hi I managed to get a couple of pics of the fish. Can anyone help to ID it? It usually doesn't have the dark bars on its body, it only shows up when it gets frightened.

Sorry but its the best I could do. Only camera I got is the one on my phone. But I'm quite sure its a sub adult channa gachua like the one wcked posted.

Couldn't it be a Parachanna Africana?
