Channa ID

[flagtail]

Passed by LFS today, seen what looked like a channa....but I can't seem to really tell if it was or not....and not able to ID on here either....

Here goes best description!

18" approx
Yellowish/mustard colour
slight redish pec fins
white dots on all fins and tail
brown line across eye
blotchy stomach, and looked like faded circles on sides of body

Like I said was surprised to see at LFS but not sure if channa....any ideas? I don't have pic.

Guess it could be a big stressed out lucia.But as gigas12 said,without a picture its hard to tell.

Yes, that's the one....

Tapered head, porthole markings along body, line across eye, and the white dots.

The other one was yellow, mustard colour....is there more then one type of lucius?

Yours is very nice, any tank pics, tankmates?

The one I seen was more yellowish, like these....maybe cause he was stressed to the max!

The lucia is like a chameleon,it changes color in a blink,from a pale tan to almost black.
Stressed my goes pale but it was paler when i had more light too,when its begging food it goes dark and "dances"for me
It is solo in a temporary tank atm while i try to find more in the same size so its not much to look at ...besides being a béautiful fish
