I bought this Channa yesterday, but i dont really know what kind of!, can someone tell me the Id of this Channa,,

try giving it some hiding places and letting it settle in, the stress marks make it pretty difficult to determine what species it is. But my guess is either a stewartii or 5 stripe

so this is a channa stewartii,
I was giving him some place to hide, and i think he still stress right now cause he wont to hide just freezing behind the hiding place, not even move..

can someone explain to me how to determine the stress mark?

with the usual I think, like the bettas channa not have the right colors when he had to stress and often bands appear, stress conditions or behavior with another fish
