Is it true that channa gachua from Thailand is now called "Channa Limbata"? Is it now valid or still just another synonym?

Hi,
the original description of gachua was from indian gachua. The fish found in Thailand are quite similar to them, but they have a lot of differences,too.
P. Musikasinthorn says the Thai gachua SHOULD be called limbata, but its just a said word, nothing written.
There is much work to do for scientists in the Channa family

Just wondering as I got a phone call from my supplier that they got a new snakehead in their stocks called channa limbata as I never heard of the name before and when I did some google it shows gachua thai spec.
