Channa marulius or marulioides? i'm confused..

i got 2 unidentified snakehead.. they about 8" to 11" now.. what species are they? marulius or marulioides? help me.. :)

hard to tell with those pics?... can you take pic w/out the glare?

first 2 look possibly like marulia?? :uhoh: but can't really say?? :confused:
 
with those pics it i impossible..they are very close related ( some even say it is the same brteed but from different places )

Give us pixs, please..
 
marulius i think...
the marulioides dont have those vertical bars... they has bloches

but i think it marulioides.. they call it 'toman bunga' or emperor snakehead here.. but i'm not sure..

maruliodes and marulia are two very similar species. If i remember correctly the only way of correctly identifying them is by finding out where they were caught. Maruliodes apparently grow much larger than the marulia and i read a report of one being caught that was 72". I think i've said that before.

euge.. i think you confuse with size for both snakeheads.. marulius is the bigger snakehead in channa family while marulioides only can growth upto 2 feets.. :)
