channa micropeltis adult coloration

Just wondering at what size do they start to display their adult coloration, I just aquired a 6inch juvi and would like to know at what size their color change takes place

I beleive they start to change anywhere after 8-10inches...

Hi,its a natural factor due to both size and age.

I've had mine turn at about 30-40 cm.. (the true adult colour, not just losing the red)

In nature they become audult colors at app 50-55 cm , in aqarium it depends on th size of your aquarium ... mine was 42 cm and he looked as a baby ...
