Wanted to share some pictures of my Channa Orientalis pair. The tank is still undergoing changes. Need to add more cover plants and wood.

Nope, That link got wrong pics. You can easily id them because orientalis lacks pelvic fins.

Nirman, you do have a point there. This guy certainly has pelvic fins. I didn't know that we have Channa Gachua in Sri Lanka. We certainly do have Orientalis though. Would like to see inputs from others too.

Very nice , I'd have to agree it looks to be gachua, the pic in that link your comparing is also Gachua, the first one is any way , second pic on that link is sp meghalaya leopard , 3rd is sp. fire and ice LOL. Clearly they just slapped up a variety of colourful pics from the internet.

Ha, ha. Okay. Thanks DC. I'll accept the majority opinion. It is Gachua then. Hopefully I can get them to breed some day.
