Eeehm, not sure what you mean but what he said was also
my point. I also have spec assam from auke and there much more colourfull then yours too..

what are you feeding and what's the water temperature?

I'd try some color foods like krill. Also, if they are in water of an unsuitable pH that could contribute to color loss.
