I have a 15in or so Albino Channel and was wanting to know if I could put in a lima. I think my cat is pretty layed back add he grow up with lots of other fish but if now in with just a JD.
And if not a lima but is another good fish that will be his friend

limas dont get as big as others like TSN they get about 5-6' and limas get about 2' i think the channel would get bigger than a lima so i would go with a TSN

What ever cat you get to go with him will need to be started in a different tank, because not matter how many fish he was raised around they are killers and will consume most if not all fish smaller than themselves.

How big do channel cats get???

I cought one when it was around 15".

Could I have kept it my aquarium???

channel cats will get massive and outgrow most aquariums. IMO they shouldnt be so readily available in the hobby.

i caught a 27inch channel weight aleast 13-14pds at 10:25 at night under a small bridge next to the woods it took me 20minutes to pull it in the dark at hoover resevor with no net and i was feeling about to give up completely after 15minutes on a 12pound test line. I belive you can't keep one in a fish tank because i seen a few pictures going fishin bigger than mines.

In my opinion the Channel will most likely eat the Lima. The channel grows a pretty large mouth and gets quite big, and lima get long and semi thin. Here's a pic of my channel, he has some bite marks on him from a mad pacu.
