Channel cat flashing

My 5 inch channel cat began flashing (rubbing its back on everything) a few days ago. I remember my dovii doing this a few years back and i dont remember how the problem was resolved. Im not as concerned with the fish looking like a lunatic, i just want to make sure hes healthy... any info would be great. thanks guys

Have there been any new additions to the tank recently that could have brought in parasites? What are your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels? It could be ammonia burn. Are any other tankmates acting the same way? What size tank is this and what type of filtration do you have?

its a 55g growout. i have a 5 inch channel cat, three 2" pbass, one 5" pbass
i have a HOB filter.. and no none of the bass are acting this way, it seems to just be the cat. thats why i was concerned for just him, had the others been doing it i would have been worried about the water but it seems to just be the fish.. nitrates are a little hight but nothing that should cause a problem..

i had the same setup for my channel cat, he did that for a couple days and then just stopped, no medication no nothing. personally, i think he just had an itch. but keep and eye out, it could also be a sign of ich
