Channel cat pondmates.

Hey guys.
Pretty soon I'm setting up a 350 gallon rubbermaid pond out on my deck and am putting my channel cat in it once it reaches 12''.
What would I be able to keep with him besides Koi?

I may be putting the pond in my garage, if I do so the pond will be heated to 75F, can the channel tolerate this warmth?

yeah it should be fine just make the water move... you could have a gar and some other natives of large size

I'm not so sure about a Gar outdoors here in Washington state.
Get's pretty cold here, people keep Koi out in ponds but I'd be afraid to keep a Florida Gar as they require temps of atleast 75F correct?

i personally would go with a couple more channels and large mouth bass, and/or some sunfish.

Do the rubbermaid tubs rot underground? I was thinking about taking a tub and burying it in the ground except for the top part so that it doesn't bow out and stretch the plastic.

no, they do not rot. Leave the lip above the ground when it is buried...
