Hey guys i was just wondering exactly what I should do Here. I have an Albino Channel cat and a regular ol' blue spotted channel cat. I am purchasing a 140 gallon tank for their year and a half home. Maybe 2 years. The reg. one is about 4.5 to 5 inches but really thick, not fat but awkwardly bulky for his type of cat, and the albino is kinda slender. I need help on the set up and what i should do with it, the heaters i should buy and the filter. If any one has any brain storms Let me know! Thanks alot!:headbang2

How does a multi hundred gallon tank filled with water sound in your possession? It's what you'll need to keep these fish alive. You may not know, but they grow 4ft long. Unfortuantely, in most cases, they grow smaller. (IE 3ft)

Setup can be entirely up to you. Although you just better make sure they cannot uproot, easily move and injure themselves on the ornaments. Rocks and driftwood with a pea gravel/sand substrate and plastic plants if you want can all be used. Get creative.

On the bigger picture. Filtration doesnt need to be a you-bute system if you only have the channels residing in the tank A single large canister filter/2 smaller canisters/sump will all work.

Unless the room you keep the tank in gets extremely cold, you will not need a heater. Kept a pair in a pond all year round without any problems. Air temp got down to high 40's and low 50's.
