Channel Catfish after 10 Months

this is my channel catfish about 5 months ago. When i first got him he was about the size of a feeder minnow.


These pictures are of him now.











Hes about 8" now

could somebody tell me if it is male or female? I think it may be a female because of its head size. tell me what you guys think.

Nice. I use to have a couple of Albinos in my pond. They grew to about 11" before a family of Raccoons decided to pull an Ozzy and bit off all the heads on all my pond fish

omg im so sorry to hear that i would die if anything happened to my channel hes my favorite. im thinking about getting an albino too but not if they will get territorial. i would totally go on a statewide raccoon-killing rampage ha ha. thanks for all the feedback guys.

You know what happened when the coons did that? I added a Snapping turtle... his buddy never came out and they havent visited yet

i got mine in february 2012 at 3" here HE is in a ten gallon tank.


now he is about 11 inches long. he has been growing around 2" a month. i feed him a ton of stuff like hikari/nls pellets, shrimp, tilapia, live bluegill, dead bluegill, crawfish, earth worms, bloodworms, brine shrimp, beef heart, bugs, ghost shrimp, plankton, red belly pacu, and some other stuff. i use the pellets as a staple. the last pic is a slightly older picture of him so he is not as big s he is now in the picture.



i really love mine. he is full of personality and he loves to harmlessly annoy other fish in the tank by nudging them. he is quite comical and and is favored by the rest of my family.
