A buddy have me a channel cat, my question is how will he do with my gar? Will he leave them alone?

Sent from my SM-G900P using MonsterAquariaNetwork App

I had a channel cat and i hated that thing. He was a pig and would come up the surface and eat ALL the food i would put into the tank for my cichlids. On top of that since they're such pigs they make a huge mess and in turn just make more work. I personally wouldn't recommend one.

It should work out just fine - Channel cats are wonderful fish if you have the space for it. A 300 gallon tank or better.

Feed the catfish first then feed the gar. Problem solved.

Yup, I always feed my bullheads first with pellets and occasionally some frozen foods before offer live fish/earthworms to my walleye.

your walleye eats earthworms?? man...mine won't even LOOK at anything that isn't small, shiny and fast lol

Same goes for my black crappie...but I think I can break them of their live food addiction faster than the walleye

That's odd. Walleyes loved them and these leeches. In spring when the rivers flooded into woods, walleyes will go to that area, munching up the earthworms out of mud like candy. I fed that walleye earthworms, leeches, maggots, waxies, frozen fish (smelts and minnows) and live fish.
