i did a no,no bout some feeders from wally and now have ick but i was raisin the temp but could not find high temp range for them, did not want to cook them. anyone how high i can go , i but salt in and some treatment also but was unsure how high to take the temp on them

i have mine on 98 degrees and there fine

88-89 for a channel cat? never! you should normally be running lower temp so about 80-82 in 1 degree increment increases over a period of a day. also do a 50% water change. add nothing but salt, you dont need any special treatments. just plain old salt (NON-iodized!!!!!) i add a tablespoon to every 5 gallons of changed water.
