Looked at all of the tanks, shut off the light, 5 min. later I heard a loud splash, go to check it out, and find a 4-Lined Pictus Cat inside the mouth of my Channel. He spat it back out, and the pressure from the bite was enough to squeeze out the guts. Nasty looking. Just glad that it was a $5.00 fish, and nothing to expensive, or 'rare', lol. Guess who's moving out of the 60-Gallon. :) Can't risk him eating anything else. He will go into a 10-Gallon for the night, seems how it is almost 11 pm. That probably won't go very well, lol.:nilly:
And I have to figure out where the Pictus went...
I'll see if I can get pics of the )v(onster tomorrow.;)

be carefull of the pictus as they have needle sharp pectoral fins that when swallowed by another fish will barb themselves into the throat of that fish killing it and themselves... the channel got lucky ;)

Poor Pictus..Not sure if I want to see pics of that.
No, I wouldn't show pics of the Pictus. I meant the Channel. :)

I thought of that as I saw it in the mouth of the Channel. He did get really lucky, glad I turned on the light when I did, or I would of lost the Channel and the Pictus. I won't lie, I did laugh a little when he ,literally, shot the Pictus out of his mouth.

Looked for the Pictus this morning and found nothing but a small piece of flesh in the tank. Anything that dies id one in a matter of hours if I don't get to it first. Gotta love scavengers sometimes. :nilly:
