Channel making a den?

Guys, FINALLY found some videos of channel catfish in aquariums and have decided that I NEED ONE. So PLEASE tell me that one could live in my 180 gallon tank! Also, back to topic here, how could I make it possible for the cat to make its own den in the tank with a sand bottom? (ideas should be thought through with the fact in mind that a ray is already in the tank) I just think it would be a cool project for both me and the cat. Just keep to ideas that still leave floor space for the ray.

No, they get huge as well. I have three over two feet long in my pond and they can reach large sizes. Get a bullhead.
