Charax gibbosus. look like hydrolicus.

other than not being payara, what are the biggest differences between charax and hydros?

they look stunningly similar (from a picture point of view).

ADD: are they like, the silver dollar - piranha equivalent for the payara?

I'd bet that most stores in my area have never even brought them in.I dont think they have the dentition of the Hydrolicus fish.

me neither. but they do have that knife bone structure and i never seen a pic of their dentition. though its probably microscopic like most tetra, but i just want more input on them since they do resemble hydros closely. at least their fins and body shape.

act very much like hydrolycus scomberoides.
they do have some nice teeth for their size.

yes,they are predatory.
they have some nice teeth.
no problem dining on neons.

should i get a shoal? were can i find some online?
