I treated my Tank with med cause one of my fish got cloudy eye and I recently put charcoal on the overhead filter box to help clear the water of the med..I noticed that the charcoal helped in clearing the water in the tank plus i noticed that the orange or rust colored dust that accumulates on the glass bottom dissapeared i dont know if it was a result of the charcoal...I recently read that carbon is bad for the fish in the long run cause they kill benneficial bacteria and causes HITH...how true is this? cause i really like how the water is so clear with the charcoal but I dont want to lose any fish in the long run...help please
