nice

Excellent work. Great fish. I second the wah-wah-wee-wah

Why does everyone's fh seem to look so big & mature after about 8~12 months?
I've kept mine for 9 months since it was 1.5" & it still seems young.. =.="

Food and clean water.. lots of food :) first few months, this Fish was fed around 5 - 8 times a day, for the last couple of months, twice a day

You should be happy your Fh looks young. Avg lifespan for Fh's these days is 1.5-3 years. Feeding 5-8 times a day is not healthy for any fish, let alone a fh, but nice job pumping him up.

The trick is knowing when to stop pumping, my other flowerhorn is around 15 inches and over 7 years old.

Pumping should be done early, I stop when the fish is over 6-7 inches or when I see a slow response in growth
