ok so first off charlie is my yound fl spotted gar at about 7-8" now, named after the video on YouTube with the little brother biting his older brother..with those teeth it was a given lol.. back on track, so ive had him for over a month and a half and when i got him from the lfs at around 5 1/2-6" he was beat up his fins were rough and he wasnt lookin to good over all, but i worked on him and hes looking brand new again. hes been mainly on feeders due to him being house with my 3 orinos, but has and will occasionally eat some hikari pellets. i went and got some small shrimp tonight thawd and preped it for them and well what do ya know he loved it! in fact he ate several pieces even takin some from my pbass and runnin away with it. it feels good to know hes no longer a one food monster-2-b fish!
