Ive looked around at alot of pics on the net,I want to build 4 or 5 wooden cages with glass sliders to stack on top of eachother.Melamine or whatever its called seems really expensive at the stores, can you use another type of wood and just spray it with something to protect it from moisture, are other woods bad for the snakes,I know cedar and suh but I wouldnt use that anyways.Just a simple rectangle box with glass front sliders,is all I want to do hear,Im not an expert builder so dont throw me off too bad lol.

You can use good ol' exterior grade plywood and seal it inside with polyurethane or with vinyl shower liners.

just seal the wood that you use. use any type of moisture resistant pain/sealer

cut all of your boards to length and seal them before you assemble. i did that when i made my big iguana cage, worked real well. i also siliconed all the seams as well. been together for about a year and it seems to be holding up nice.

Cheap and caging don't really mix all that well...............If you don't have the tools or know-how to do it, making a cage(s) is going to cost you more in the long run........I've got the tools and the know-how, but now I prefer someone to do it for me..........I really like my free time and sanity now-a-days..........

yeah Ive build so much stuff lately I wish I didnt have to go that rout but its gonna have to be.
