I need to find a cheap cheap way to get a 300+ gallon pond.

Im thinking one of those big troughs but if you have any other ideas im all ears.

I also would like to know the cheapest place to get them.

Thanks
Brad

lol i just replied to ur thread about the piranha pond. Try google search TSC and go to the agriculture section..u'll find it there

yea thanks alot ha ha. ANy other ideas on what I could use?

you could dig a hole then put a garbage can with water in the hole then you got yourself an underground pond. but seriously just use a rubbermaid heated trough. maybe about $200-$300

its an indoor pond and garbage can its not a very efficient shape. I want somthing big and very cheap. ha ha

rubbermaid 300 gallon works great, I bought mine for 190$ but had to wait a week because it was a special order item. Btw how cheap?

well im not sure yet but im setting it up for a friend and its going in the basement of his house. Hes in college so I mean that kind of cheap.

Kiddie pool = $50.

Rubbermaid tub = $200.

Pond liner = $100 (plus support hardware)

And it goes up from there.

Well as you can see in my avatar i used a kiddie pool for about 6 months and it worked fine until one of my rays put a hole in it. I even considered to get another but just got the rubbermaid instead, try one they only cost about $15 but before you put fish in it fill it a quarter of the way add a whole lot of salt and scrub the whole liner then empty and refill. Ohh i forgot to add to hold the walls up so that they never cave in, make a wood frame and staple it on, I'll try and see if i have any old pics.
