So I've kind of gotten addicted to buying cheap ass lenses. The cheaper the better. So here are a few shots with the three cheap lenses I've bought and one shot with my 55-200mm kit lens (still not expensive by any means).

As a disclaimer, I need to clean my glass and my tank.

Hopefully this helps others who want to get into DSLR's but think expensive gear = good photos. Not that I'm good, I'm very new at this and learning more every day. My complete setup (body, flash, radio trigger, and the 4 lenses) was under $800. Get rid of the 55-200mm kit lens and use a D40 instead of the D60 I got and you're looking at around $500.

First up is my Tamron Adaptall 2 28-70mm. This lens set me back under $20. I really just bought it for the Nikon Adaptall 2 converter, the lens was a bonus.

Showing my flash over the tank. Both tank lights are on in this shot too.

100% crop of the above photo; I'm quite surprised in the quality of the image (first time using this lens)

Second is my Lester A. Dine 105mm f2.8 macro lens. This is my most expensive "cheap" lens at $70. My favorite lens. Best suited for aquarium photography.

Third is my Nikon 50mm f1.8, which didn't cost anything as I bought a package of camera gear, kept this lens and sold off the rest for more than I bought the package for. Not really a great fish lens. Usually goes for around $50 on eBay.

Lastly is my AF-S 55-200mm VR Nikon lens. Cost more than all the last three lenses put together. :( Still a cheap lens comparatively speaking.

Pimpin on a budget yes. Nice shots for sure.

some niiiiice shots and some really chunky cons :D

The convicts were supposed to be dithers for my midas but are ended up as the focal point for sure. I got them back in Feb for .99 cents each at like 1/2"

The point wasn't really about good photos (in my eyes they're not very good at all; not one's I'd normally post) but thanks.

The main point was that people shouldn't think they need the new; huge; expensive auto everything lenses and bodies to take good photos.

Most of the guys here http://www.mflenses.com/ still shoot on film with 50 year old gear and they kick my ass all day long on color, composition, and subject matter.
