Anyone know a place where I can get large pieces for cheap? I searched google and most places dont go as big as I want and the ones that do got crazy prices.

Your best bet is to look locally. If you want large pieces your are going to pay a ridiculous amount for shipping and it will be cheaper locally. I would just called around and find it locally. I am from Omaha Nebraska and when I checked the phone book I found over fifty glass places. Not bad for a city of half a million people. I imagine there are allot more in Philadelphia. I found a place that sold me 9 square feet of quarter inch glass and a square foot of quarter inch acrylic all for 10 bucks. Don't be afraid to call some of the glass places that do commercial buildings. That's where I got mine from. Hope this helps.

I really didn't think about the yellow pages. Good Idea. Good lookin out cuz.

Acrylic is expensive now that the price of oil is rising. How large of a tank are you trying to build? Anything more than 3/4" thick will cost you an arm and a leg.

Yea I called around and price online are the same as around here. They want like $600 a piece. I figured If I did it myself id save money but apparently not. I dont have $3500 for a custom tank you know.
