iam thinking about building a small tank cheap and then build a bigger one, do anybody know any glass shops in the uk what do delivery and wood too. thanks

have anyone though about buying a Heavy Duty Plywood Hutch Dimensions 30" Long x 16'' Deep x 16" High
then put i sheet a glass in. do you think it would work. what thinkness glass or acrylic do you think a need if it is a good idea.

google for timber merchants in your area- pretty much all of them deliver (99% for free too) and its a hell of a lot cheaper than going to b&q/homebase/focus etc.

Glass i found a bit tougher- i couldnt find any website that lets you order online and the local glazers around here wanted more for glass (for a 20gal tank) than getting the tank made online at www.posiedons-palace.co.uk although i ended up getting mine made local (in liverpool) for a couple of quid more.

if you're looking for silicone then http://www.screwfix.com/prods/81431...ants/No-Nonsense-Glazing-Silicone-Clear-310ml was the best stuff i could find. Less than half the price of whats availablke in B&Q. i used it for making a bunch or slate ornaments and its held up perfectly.
