Was curious if anyone has heard or used either of the following and what you or they think of them..
1. Jungle Labs : Co2 Fizz Factory
2. Red Sea : Co2 Bio-Generator

?????

my deal is I"m not even sure if I need or want to run co2, but if I do, the cheaper the better, but don't really feel like taking the time to rig some diy....

how long did the tablets or the package last before you needed a replacement?

I've used the fizz factory thing from jungle and it seamed to work good.

I agreed. It was fairly cheap, and it was certainly effective. The tabs last depending on how big your tank is, and how much water flow you have. I used a whole tab / day in my 125gal, which was certainly inadequate. I've since switched to DIY CO2, 2 2L bottles with combined output into a CO2 diffuser.

What size tank do you have?

If I were you, I'd go with DIY CO2. Cheap, efficient...you only mix up a batch once a week maybe (with one 2L). I mix up two 2L, very minimal ammounts and they last ~12 days sometimes.

I have a small 10 gallon and plant growth exploded! I have ~2.6WPG.

I just got that Co2 fizz factory...it was on sale...Trying to calcalate how many tablets for a 100gl. The instructions were not very good...

I use the Red Sea Bio-Generator in my 35. I buy the refills but only because I just don't want to mess with mixing my own stuff. If you really wanted to you could put a DIY mix in the canister instead of buying refills. It's basically just sugar, baking soda, and yeast. I replace the mix once a month and only run the power head during the day to conserve CO2.
