Would it be ok if I used these for a planted 75g

instead of

One's 20$ the other 450$

If I used 2 of the ones from Home Depot, it would be 40$ for 160 watts.
that many watts would cause to many problems without co2 when it comes to algae.
Do the flourscent or try a http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/209500/product.web
Less wattage but, the t5 are much more powerful and brighter look around they aren't all that expensive.

I'm going to try it out, because I've had this 75g freshwater set up for over 6 months and I never once had to scrub algae off the glass. I have 2 plecos and lots of loaches that sift through the sand so I'm going to see how it works :)
