Cheap Place to buy substrate

Hi Does anyone know where i can buy cheap sand from online or stores in the uk. looking for substrate for tang set up. would like white and black sand combo.

Pool supply stores sell very cheap sand over here.
You're usually limited to white though.

I never really seen "cheap" black sand, but the only site i can think of is caribe sea.. I've found Pool Filter Sand looks better than black with tangs.

for cheap black sand look for silicon carbide at a sand blasting supply store, pool filter sand for cheap white sand

Are there any types of sand to be careful of that might leech chemicals/unwanted minerals into the water?

Any that are made of a calcium substance will increase hardness and pH.
