On a boat!
Okay, so I contacted Silver Cup Fish Feed and asked for samples of there sturgeon food. I was told that it was normally sold in the tons, but they happened to have some 6 mm and 8 mm extruded sinking pellets leftover from a batch that was stored in 50 lb bags. I would have to buy a 50 lb bag at $0.5675/lb plus $46.50 for shipping to me. That's about $75 for 50 lb of fish food. WAY cheaper than massivore... I took the risk and bought a bag of 6 mm. It arrived today. Opened up the box and smelled of fish oil. I tore open the bag and fed my misc monster tank. I'd say about 50% of each species ate (catfish, pbass, rays, aros, datnoids, etc.). Below are pics of the food/box/etc. I will try feeding again tomorrow.... I'm sure I could get all on this stuff, but I will also continue feeding gel food and other pellets with occasional fish/shrimp feedings. I know many fishkeepers shy away from feeding feed that is intended for farm raised fish, but I figured the sturgeon food was likely the best option due to the similar dietary requirements and I think they could live healthily on it... thoughts????

The reason most keepers stay away from the farm foods is because they are designed to get the fish to market size as fast as possible not for longevity and health.

maybe someone can look at the Nutritional information and give you an idea of how healthy it is to feed

I know I am intrigued

but after looking at the ingredients I will probably steer clear

You certainly don't want to use this on a regular basis. Blood meal is a major pollutant in aquaria that's good for mainly raising ammonia levels. Livestock blood meal also contains every nasty bit of garbage used on livestock (hormone treatment, anti-virals, anti-bacterials, medications, etc). Copper sulfate is an anti-fungal that is deadly to inverts and can cause renal problems in vertebrate species. Manganese sulfate is used to fatten livestock. But, it also promotes plant growth. In aquaria, that means algae blooms. Then there's:

Hydrolized feather meal
Wheat middlings
Wheat flour
Corn gluten meal
...WTH?!
