Hey I'm looking for some cheap media for a 10gal I have that I will be using as a sump. Ive seen some circular "Scour Pads" or "Pot Scrubbies" In other peoples threads;
Like these in MeAko's 1000 Gallon Indoor Pond Build

But Being out today in a few stores I couldn't find any for the life of me. Does anyone know a store that carries these? Either a store like Wal-Mart or somewhere online.
Also, is there any other media that's cheap and functions well? This is for bio media, I plan to be running a filter sock for mechanical filtration.
Thanks A lot guys. I've been out of the hobby since I first joined this site but I've gotten bitten by the bug once again:D

Dollar general has pot scrubbies 6 for $1

If you're running it submerged, there is better media. Is it for a wet/dry or just to go in the sump?

As others have said, the Dollar store, but I've noticed them getting more expensive lately. I just topped off my w/d and had to pay 3/$1 after getting 6/$1 as recently as a few months ago.

i went to all the dollar stores in my area and could not find these in any larger packs of two and they would only have about six packs. i guess ill have to go to every single store and buy them out?? can you buy them online on somewebsite?:irked:

Thanks for the input guys, looks like I'll be heading out to the dollar store in a little while:headbang2
Also, anyone have a cheap source for bioballs? I'm thinking of running some Bioballs ontop of the Scrubbies.

I'm gonna be running it with either pegboard or spraybars in a Wet/Dry.

I have a 29g sump for my 90g NA/SA tank and I used three bags of lava rock - one for each chamber. Haven't had a single problem. Been going on 2 (3?) years now.

Forgot to add: I put the rocks in small plastic garbage can and then drilled holes all over them for water to flow through and around. That way, when I do need to maintenance, I can either just pull out the can of rocks and rise or whatever.
