Cheap Wood Or Bricks?!?!?

hey guys i need some cheap wood for my pond. Am looking for something about, 8ft long but i need it pretty thick, maybe 5inches+? or if not to save money i would go with bricks... anyone know of some really thick bricks i can use??? anyway the dimentions for the pond will be 8X7X4(ft). I need thick stuff so i can save ALOT of money. Or if anyone is selling please let me know i really want to build this bad boy!

How about landscape timbers?
I've seen above ground ponds framed with them and they look very good.
They are $1.97 on sale at the HD here.

Wow thanks!!!! Ya and my mom doest like the sound of bricks, to hard to load out and in of the car. And that is 5inches thick right? How many would I need for a 8x7x4 (ft)?

it would be $55 for 28. Changed my dimenshions its going to be am 8x8x3 if i did 8x8x4 it would be 2,000 gallons !!!! i wish i coulds but my mom said to with the 8x8x3, this is my 2nd pond am making so i think that would be good. maybe later on i'll upgrade =] and i think this is sutiable for an RTC? this is why am making the pond...

x2 landscape timbers are cheap and sturdy, good way to go
