100 to buy, a lifetime of work and money to maintain. They are by no means "cheap".

lol those things are cute and then they turn into large creatures of doom lol. gators and crocs are scary to me. friend of mine owns a farm over here of gators and he loves them but they are unpredictable.

WHERE!?!?!?!?! I WANT...

Dont forget thouse 50$ will gradualy multiply untill like 1000$ or more including housing, feeding, etc;) Remenbar also that this isnt the kind of "pet" you can handle and cuddle with. I still say you should try to save for either the tegu or the caiman lizard, much more expensive but a joy to own:D However if is this what you want go for it. But at least think deep and hard as were your going to put it when it is like 6 feed and has the atitude of a chain saw, and at the same time is a tropical animal with its own set of needs, wich would require like a room sized enclosure and huge mouthly electric bill (caiman lizards too but they at least have gratitute with the hand that feeds them)

If you do decide to get one PLEASE find a local veterinarian that would be willing to treat it incase of emergency BEFORE you purchase!

Or a local doctor that would be willing to treat him in case of emergency
