So looking at the prices that people use on here for there ac110's and canisters I realized tat I am getting killed at my LFS. So I was wondering if you guys could recommend some of the websites you use. Especially those with reasonable shipping.

Thanks
Andy

Online retailers have much less overhead cost than local fish stores... so do not feel as though you have been ripped off, understand that you have been supporting your local economy...

Dr Foster & Smith, Big Al's Online, Pet Solutions, Marine Depot are some that come to mind... ebay is also a resource to consider...

At the same time, if/when practical feel free to help keep the doors open onyour local fish stores. We are all eager to complain about the low quality of local stores while at the same time we spend our money with online retailers which is why they cannot afford to pay their help enough to keep the store in good shape...

Agreed^^

Throw a couple of bucks at the local guys and keep the fish available close to home.

You can go to ebay and get an AC 110 for under $60 and that is with shipping. You have to keep on looking for deals. Otherwise it is about $65 for an AC 110 if you buy it any time on ebay.

I always buy from Big Al's. And right now, anything $75 and over is free shipping.

Big Al's has the Power Filter 70 which IS an Aquaclear 70 for $20. Best bet right now are Sunsun canister filters. These are great and you can get them on eBay for $43, $95 and $125 for 220, 360 and 535 gph. Dead silent, run perfect and are clobbering the competition in performance and price.

Hey should post some pictures of that sunsun. There are a lot of people who would enjoy the review. I have been curious to buy one for quite some time. A full review with pics would be awesome in the setup section.

I buy from Fosters & smith, Jehmco, & Big Al's.

I'm using a pond filter on my big tank. It's a Fishmate 1000 gallon. It works fine and cost me a lot less. Not sure if your into that.
