Cheapest 55 gallon tank and overflow box?

I feel somewhat stupid posting this thread but....

I just recently found out I'm approved to close on my first home. One of the tanks I will need to move from my apartment is my 55 gallon All Glass with built in overflow. It houses my RH Tapajos breeding pair. Anyway, the tank is 15 years old, never been re-sealed, and I know I'm on borrowed time. Also, it has a built in overflow which really kills like 15% or so of usable space in the tank. Money is tight with buying my first home but I figure I better bite the bullet and buy a new tank as well as an overflow box.

What's the best deal going these days? I know Petco gets about $160 for a 55 gallon. Also, any recommendations for a decent budget overflow box for my wet/dry that's running on it?

My GF is ready to kill me because I passed up on the Petco dollar per gallon sale back in the spring...

craigslist or offer up??? maybe ebay? have you worked with acrylic before? cheaper to build your own a lot of the time.

They have sales every 2 months at Petco.. a 55 gal should be $55.. the cheapest overflow box I have seen is the deep blue version.. i just paid 59.99 for one with 2 drains. I dont like the design though and I wish I bought amores expensive one but it's working

theres also a d.i.y overflow that's pretty cheap in the d.i.y section

Thanks guys. I am going to take a trip to Petco today and see if they have the sale or anticipate it coming up.
