I have a 100 gallon rubbermaid tub and I don't know what kind of filter to buy. What is the cheapest filteration system I can buy that would still get the job done? Also, if you could, please tell me where I can get it. Thanks a lot.

DIY will be your best bet.

Many styles and prices avail. The costs some from the pump, but you may find a good used one on craigslist.

I don't know how your rubbermaid is setup, but it if is buried this is what I did.....
I made mine and it didn't cost much....flower pot, scrubbies, sponges, water hose, pump. I cut a hole in the top of the pot fed the hose to it then cut a hole in the bottom to let the water out/water fall. Cost about $20 (flower pot, media, water hose) and $28 for the pump.

Thanks a lot! I didn't know that I could build one myself. You just saved me like $100.

It's always good to save money :headbang2 You can find alot of different ways to make your own filter. Mine was simple....but if you want a more complicated diy filter you can do a google search or a search on here for diy pond filter or diy bio filter
