cheapest method of international shipping?

I'm trying to figure out what is the cheapest method of shipping from usa to brazil. Please don't just tell me usps.com because i have looked into this. i was curious if anyone has ever done this personally or can shed some light on this. i'm trying to figure out if it is even worth it. thanks
