I was thinking (dreaming) of how i would build a huge tank something around 2000g. Ive seen so many way to do it on here but all have their ups and downs.
The plywood tanks are cheap and easy and would be easy to tear down and rebuilt to move but wont last as long and UGLY!
Fiberglass would be nice but you'd have to pay someone to make it.
cement and cinderblocks are cheap and easy but perminant.
Buying a huge tank would be easy but expensive

I could deal with the uglyness of a DIY tank but keeping the budget down and lifespan of the tank up. how would you built a monster 2000g tank?

Block tank like Wizzin, Johnptc's, etc.. I know it's permanent but anything that size would probably have to be built on site anyways, or tear your house apart to get it in.. making it pretty much permanent..

a bass pro shop tank on wheels would be awsome. just park it in the garage

8Lx8wx4h box with a formed liner and porthole style (bolted frame) windows.

Finish the outside as nicely as you want, you could make it look as good as fine furniture.

Simple, transportable and economical.

But wouldn't you have to worry about the liner with certain types of fish?

im wanting a big catfish tank, RTC, TSN, ripsaw, channel cat tough liner needed. what about a steel tubing frame, back and bottom solid and front and sides glass. basic needs med, simple and only 2 materials. would that be expensive. could built it on wheels like a trailor home and park it on cinderblocks in the garage.
